PROJECT OUTLINE

Precinct Urban Planning was engaged by Balonne Shire Council to provide town planning assistance associated with establishing a Thermal Baths complex on the Balonne River in Dirranbandi. The project involved the town planning for two separate but integrated buildings. The Bath House Building which has thermal bathrooms, a reception area, function room as well as amenities; and The Dirran Dip Pool Building which has an open air plunge pool and undercover seating. This development provides a new recreational opportunity for the area. It meets a community need for enhanced recreational facilities for Dirranbandi’s residents and tourists and will assist with broadening the town’s economic base.
